一月初，大娃参加了The Philadelphia Orchestra’s 2014 Albert M. Greenfield Student Competition（Children's Division）。这是大娃至今为止参加的piano比赛中水平最高的一次，算是半专业比赛。比赛在Kimmel Center举行，演奏者和裁判们在不同的房间，完全不见面，所有评分通过声音来评定。赛后每个参赛者都会收到一份详细的专业comments。参赛的孩子很多都是投入很多的，比如homeschool每天练琴几个小时那种。大娃没有悬念地没有进入winners，但有了一次非常好的humbling experience。 还有，大娃是个不太纠结结果的娃，这一点像妈：）

两个娃每天练钢琴都不超过30分钟。他对钢琴的天赋和兴趣都一般，所以一直就每天半小时这样打酱油。现在一年到头除了偶而给他SIGN UP几个表演或比赛，平时也没有硬性的进度指标，随性弹，很多时候就是一种让他静下心来的meditation ：）
